This Privacy Policy explains how Estimator App Inc. (“Estimator App”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you visit myestimator.app, use an Estimator App estimator tool, subscribe to our service, or receive text messages (SMS) from us.

1. Information we collect

  • Customers (contractors and renovation companies): name, business name, email address, phone number, website, branding details and billing information. Payments are processed by our third-party checkout provider; we do not store full payment card numbers.
  • Homeowners using an estimator: name, email address, mobile phone number, property location and the project selections you enter to receive an estimate.
  • Usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited and similar technical data collected through cookies and analytics tools.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide, customize and support the Estimator App service.
  • To generate and deliver estimates you request.
  • To send account, billing, support and estimate follow-up messages by email or SMS, where you have consented to receive them.
  • To improve our website and tools, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

3. Text messaging (SMS)

If you provide your mobile number and opt in, Estimator App may send you text messages related to your estimate request, your account, billing and customer support. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and get help by replying HELP or contacting us at [email protected]. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with or sold to any third parties. Mobile numbers are shared only with service providers that help us deliver messages (such as our SMS platform), and those providers may not use them for any other purpose.

4. How we share information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only:

  • With the contractor whose estimator you used, so they can respond to your estimate request (this does not include your SMS opt-in data or consent).
  • With service providers that host our website, process payments, send email and SMS, or provide analytics, under obligations to protect it.
  • When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Estimator App, our users or others.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and understand how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

6. Data retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and we use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to withdraw consent. To make a request, email [email protected]. We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA.

8. Children

Our service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed.
